This is a how to/advice list of sorts, with a packing list tailored specifically for missions in Honduras, especially the Tegucigalpa mission and CCM Mexico. When I was preparing for my mission I had no idea what kind of things to pack or what type of clothes would be best for the weather. I got my mission call in the mail on saturday (August 31, 2013)

Dear Sister Jaquez:

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months. 

You should report to the Mexico Missionary Training Center on wednesday, January 8, 2014. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language...

I am pretty excited, as is my family. Central America... definitely somewhere I never expected. I'm super excited about going out of the country AND learning a different language. I have absolutely no experience with Spanish, so it would definitely be a great experience.
